KSO BRENGT TRIPTIEK | Muziekcentrum Track, Kortrijk
29 & 30 November and 7 december 2025
Let yourself be carried away in this captivating concert where three masterpieces come together. Each masterpiece tells, in its own way, of flight, longing, and imagination: sharply satirical in Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé, with fiery gypsy tones in Ravel’s Tzigane, and in a thousand and one enchanting ways in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade."

OPERA BALLET VLAANDEREN: RITES | Antwerpen & Gent
Tenor Saxophone solo in Bolero
Stadschouwburg, Antwerpen
17.01 21.01 - 22.01 - 24.01 - 25.01
Capitool, Gent
31.01 - 01.02 - 03.02 - 04.02 - 05.02
A century ago, Ravel’s La Valse had its stage world premiere with the Ballet of the Royal Flemish Opera in Antwerp. To mark this milestone, Algerian-French choreographer Nacera Belaza created a new solo, known for its ritual character and play of light and darkness. Her Rites is framed by two musical and choreographic icons: Shahar Binyamini’s Bolero X, where extra dancers amplify the hypnotic power of Ravel’s score — with its unforgettable saxophone solos — and Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. Pina Bausch’s legendary version of this masterpiece remains a milestone in dance history, rehearsed here with OBV by former Tanztheater Wuppertal dancer Barbara Kaufmann.
Scarbo | Album(s) release
in 2026, Scarbo will release two albums as their debut: [Bach / Rameau] and [Haas / Kuehn / Neyrinck ].
We'll keep you posted for tour dates!

OPERA BALLET VLAANDEREN: ROMEO + JULIA | Bruges
Tenor Saxophone in Prokofiev's Romeo & Julia
Concertgebouw Brugge
18.03 19.03
Imagine this: you dream at night of Shakespeare’s immortal tale Romeo + Juliet, accompanied by Prokofiev’s magnificent ballet music. But soon, the dream turns into a nightmare, as an enigmatic glimpse into the subconscious. In Romeo + Juliet, Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau reinterprets the legendary tragedy that is etched into our collective memory. He abandons the traditional storyline and transforms it into an associative vision. Romeo + Juliet unfolds in a dark world where violence is so pervasive that total destruction seems inevitable.
